The EKU Business & Technology Incubator for Safety & Security
(Incubator) is part of a unique and dynamic partnership to facilitate
the growth of high-tech, knowledge based businesses and jobs
to improve the economic position and lives in the Region.
The Incubator is located in the new Business & Technology
Center building on EKU’s campus. Located on the Lake
Level in the College of Business & Technology, the mission
of the Incubator is to create an environment that stimulates
the development commercialization of technology and safety and
security-related enterprises.
The Incubator provides multi-faceted services and business assistance
to facilitate business start-up and growth. It provides shared
resources, affordable space and access to faculty, staff and
management assistance.
The Incubator includes the Eastern Region Innovation & Commercialization
Center, ICC, an entrepreneurial assistance and business development
resource serving 46 counties in Eastern Kentucky. Grants
and funding assistance are available to qualified applicants.
